A Whole New Mind

Daniel Pink's book is an excellent view into the brain - both right and left sides . . . although mostly the right side.  As he guides the reader through evolution from the Agricultural Age, to the Industrial Age, to the Information Age, to the present Conceptual Age, he paints a convincing argument for a world that will be "high concept" and "high touch."  If we are to get beyond Abundance, Asia, and Automation, we'll need to ascribe to his six senses: design, story, symphony, empathy, play, and meaning.

I'll pass on more Pink tidbits in future posts.

Learning About Montessori

Read my short article from the Spring issue of Independent School magazine.   "Casa dei Bambini and Beyond" will give you a brief overview of Dr. Montessori and her philosophy.  You can also see and hear what a Montessori classroom is like by clicking on the appropriate level.
